In memory of my mom who lost the battle on July 30th, 2022. I’m adjusting to walking life’s journey without you, but sometimes I still cry when I pick up my phone to tell you about the latest thing going on, and remember that you’re gone. I miss you.
We decided to change a little bit of our second life and created a little storyline to go with it. Hopefully you enjoy the fun story to go with our little surprise…
Luke received an urgent call from a childhood friend of his in Ireland and after some brief discussion, Emma was dropped off to stay with Aunt Eva for a few days while Luke and Bre took the first flight out to see his friend in person. Sadly, Luke’s friend had just become a widow due to a car accident and was unable to take care of their young baby by himself. He reached out to Luke for advice and the comfort that only a longtime friend can give.
After spending time with Luke’s friend, until the traditional family and friend casseroles and visits started, Luke and Bre wandered around Dublin for a spell while talking about his friend’s situation.
They spent some time visiting some castle ruins out in the country, as well, where they could talk privately.
(So that this post doesn’t become super slow loading due to being picture heavy, I’m splitting it into two parts, but posting both today.)
I finally managed to get one of the new LL homes that I will use as a studio and a “safe spot” when our home sim has trouble. Pantelleria is absolutely adorable and I love that the “LL moles”, who do the creating and landscaping, have included neat little public areas to explore.
The new homes have a ton of options and I keep changing which style house I want from the different styles you can change to, not to mention what color schemes I want that are built in options, too. So first I’m going to include a couple pictures of the current version of the house that I’ll probably change styles from pretty soon, knowing me *grin*, and then a couple of just fun pictures I took in the house with Luke. Unfortunately I have decked out Emma to the point that I don’t have enough prims to have her at the house if I have any furniture or props out. *laugh* Compared to the “ghetto housing” of the previous premium homes, I’d only be able to rez two mesh hair options in the house, I’m tickled to have a dedicated little studio instead of having to use a platform and rez a house with all the details when I want to take home-based screenshots. Also, I love the sense of community and the opportunity to socialize when my insomnia hits, so I have no friends online.
On to the fun parts though, with pose credits at the bottom. *smile*

(And yes, it should be spelled with the letter “d” and not “t”, as “d” is the masculine. We in the US have often made the mistake of calling the Saint by a woman’s name. That’s today’s trivia. *grin*)
Thanks for joining me! I have a personal and business blog that I previously used to publish my SL adventures on, but decided to create a dedicated site for my Second Life travels. I hope you’ll wander a bit with me through the creativity within SL.
Unless otherwise noted, Breana has the Bento Maitreya Lara body, hands, and feet, with LeLutka’s Bento Simone head, On a Lark Thistle Ring, and usually Earthstone’s Countess Eyeglasses and Hello Dave nail appliers. The madeover Luke (for those of you that have followed from the other blog; if you are new here, I drag him around for most of my adventures and photo shoots) has the Bento Signature Gianni body, hands, and feet, with the Bento LeLutka Guy head, On a Lark Thistle Ring, and usually Rebellion’s Savant Specs. The Lelutka Axis HUD and (HD) Multi Bento Pose HUD Beta are often used in pictures, as well.
